It affects the conjunctiva; a thin membrane covering the white part of the eye and the inside of the eyelids, for the purposes of keeping it moist. Correction of the skeletal Class II malocclusion using functional appliances always leads to undesirable effects at maxillary and mandibular incisors, and these affect the amount of skeletal correction that occurs, which in turn is reflected in the facial profile. Many modifications have been made to the Twin Block appliance to increase the skeletal effect. This study aimed to compare the functional treatment duration in patients treated with conventional and newly designed twin block appliances. 2-arm parallel-randomized clinical trial was conducted on 36 patients (17 males, 19 females) in the age group of 11–13 years.
