Measuring the level of Interleukine-17 concentration in psoriasis patients' serum

Many cytokines play pivotal roles in causing Of these, the role of interleukin-17 has emerged as a major player in immune pathogenesis of psoriasis, the aim of this research was measurement level's of concentration of interleukin-17 in the serum of psoriasis with a healthy group, and this can help determine whether there is a relationship between high IL-17 level and clinical symptoms of the disease. The study included 174 people (86) healthy people who worked as a control group, and (88) people who were psoriasis patients, all from the province of Babylon, during a period of three months. ELISA test kits were used to measure the amount of Interleukine-17 concentration in the serum of all patients and the control group. Serum Interleukin-17 levels significantly rise in psoriatic patients at the probability level (P 0.05), while they decline in the control group for the same-criteria rates. According to the results of the current investigation, patients with psoriasis reported greater serum interleukin-17 levels than the control group had.
