Pregnant women’s satisfaction with antenatal care services at primary health centers in Karbala city

Prenatal care, also known as antenatal care (ANC), is one of the most important services that pregnant women worldwide need to get, whether in a hospital or via primary health care clinics (PHCs). Antenatal care begins on the day the pregnancy is confirmed and lasts until delivery. The purpose of the present research is to evaluate pregnant women's satisfaction with ANC at Karbala city's primary health institutions. A cross sectional descriptive study was conducted for the period from (March 3st 2023 to the April 8st 2023). An appropriate sample consisting of (103) pregnant mother, data were selected from Health centers in Holy Kerbala city. After obtaining their consent, the data was collected, which are (Percentages, Mean, Standard Deviation). The investigation was completed. Mothers' demographic information (age, education, and place of residence) and their degree of satisfaction with the services they get at primary health care centers are highly correlated. Mothers' Level of Satisfaction with the Services at the Primary Health Care Center does not significantly correlate with their demographic data (marital status, employment). According to the study's results, mothers' satisfaction with the primary health care centers' services was only moderate. Despite the good results, the need requires work to strengthen the quality of the work and to improve the coverage in a number of areas ranging from family planning to antenatal care.
