Memory is an important part of cognitive function in humans. Impaired memory function can affect all aspects of a person's life. Memory can be affected by growth factors, one of which is Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). BDNF is a protein produced by neurons that plays an important role in improving memory function. According to research, BDNF can be stimulated through physical exercise. Many people already know and realize that physical exercise has good benefits for health, but time constraints make it difficult for people to carry it out. This time constraint is a problem for the en
Allergic conjunctivitis (AC) is a common pathological eye condition caused by allergens. It affects the conjunctiva; a thin membrane covering the white part of the eye and the inside of the eyelids, for the purposes of keeping it moist. The condition leads to symptoms like redness, itching, tearing, and swelling of the eyes. Awareness of AC among the population cohorts and health care professionals varies, but there is evidence to suggest that it is a common condition which has an effect on the quality of life and needs to be addressed to the public and the general health care professionals. Correction of the skeletal Class II malocclusion using functional appliances always leads to undesirable effects at maxillary and mandibular incisors, and these affect the amount of skeletal correction that occurs, which in turn is reflected in the facial profile. Many modifications have been made to the Twin Block appliance to increase the skeletal effect. Therefore, this case series described the soft tissues changes in skeletal Class II malocclusion treated with Twin Block appliance supported by mini-implants. 8 children with Class II division 1 malocclusion were enrolled in this study. Fun
This study aimed to compare the functional treatment duration in patients treated with conventional and newly designed twin block appliances. 2-arm parallel-randomized clinical trial was conducted on 36 patients (17 males, 19 females) in the age group of 11–13 years. Subjects were treated with modified Twin Block (group 1, n=18) and conventional Twin Block (group 2, n=18) appliances. A standard recall interval of 6 to 8 weeks. At each recall visit, until an overjet 0.5-2.5 mm and Class I canine relationships were achieved in the centric relationship position, and then the treatment duration
